Métro Paris

The subgrade of the Paris Métro was stabilised using steel reinforcement cages and Schöck Combar® glass-fibre reinforcement. The diaphragm walls secure a shaft measuring 110 by 25 metres. Thanks to Combar®’s good machinability, the tunnel boring machine was able to pass through the reinforcement cages without any problems. The 33-kilometre-long tunnel of the ‘Ligne 15 Sud’ on the Grand Paris Express runs deep beneath the hustle and bustle of the Île-de-France region.
