Tronsole®

For sound insulation at the highest level
Peace and quiet are fundamental needs. Sound insulation in buildings is therefore an urgent necessity. With the Schöck Tronsole® impact sound insulation elements, the transmission of sound from staircases to adjacent rooms is effectively reduced.
The challenge and the solution
Soundproofing is an important quality attribute of a building and must satisfy the requirements of building authorities and the client’s brief.
With Schöck Tronsole®, sound insulation quality level III as per VDI 4100 is standard on staircases. The acoustic characteristic values are determined under typical construction conditions in accordance with the test method described in the standard DIN 7396.
The characteristic values are therefore reliable and can be used as the basis for verification in accordance with DIN 4109. They can also be used to compare products.
The following audio example shows the difference between a connection that is not acoustically isolated, a connection that has been acoustically isolated with a strip bearing and acoustic isolation with Schöck Tronsole®.

Straight staircase, insulated stairs and landing
Acoustic insulation of stairs to landing using Schöck Tronsole® type T, of landing to wall using Tronsole® type Z. Tronsole® type L insulates stairs to wall. This produces the blue line around the acoustically insulated staircase – a seal of quality for superior impact sound insulation.

Straight staircase, acoustically insulated stairs, landing with floating screed
Acoustic insulation of stairs to landing using Schöck Tronsole® type F, and to floor slab using Tronsole® type B. Tronsole® type L insulates stairs to wall. This produces the blue line around the acoustically insulated staircase – a seal of quality for superior impact sound insulation.

Winding staircase
Acoustic insulation of winding stairs to landing using Schöck Tronsole® type F, and to wall using Tronsole® type Q. Tronsole® type L is used for the joint. This produces the blue line around the acoustically insulated staircase – a seal of quality for superior impact sound insulation.
