Reinforced Concrete Slabs

Solutions for shear force transfer
Whether in concrete slabs of high-rise buildings or in retaining walls of underground car parks: Stacon® transfers shear forces in expansion joints without restraint.
The ideal punching shear reinforcement
Flat slabs supported by columns provide exceptional flexibility for industrial and commercial buildings, enabling versatile and efficient floor plan designs.
Reinforced concrete slabs: versatile and resilient
Reinforced concrete slabs not only offer flexible design options, but can also bear high loads and be constructed over large spans. Due to the complex design of reinforced concrete slabs, it is necessary to use product solutions that rationalise the manufacturing process. These include reinforcement elements around columns that prevent the slab from punching through and secure connections in expansion joints to transfer shear forces.
Innovative solutions for optimised slabs
The transfer of shear forces in expansion joints often requires time-consuming constructions. The Schöck Stacon® shear force dowel is a more efficient solution.
Flat slabs without beams or column head reinforcements are popular due to their simple formwork and reinforcement layout. However, with point supports there is a risk of punching shear in the slab, which is prevented with the Schöck Bole® punching shear reinforcement.

Schöck Stacon®
Whether in concrete slabs of high-rise buildings or in retaining walls of underground car parks: the constraint-free transfer of shear forces in expansion joints usually requires special effort.
With conventional measures, support brackets, slide bearings or Gerber joints must be provided. However, the time and labour required for such systems is high.

Schöck Bole®
Point-supported flat slabs offer many advantages in industrial and commercial buildings in terms of free floor plan design.
During construction, they enable non-load-bearing partition walls, less formwork and reinforcement work, an unobstructed extension below the ceiling and full usability of the floor heights.
State-of-the-art technology
From shear force transfer in expansion joints and punching shear reinforcement for columns and walls - Schöck offers state-of-the-art engineering solutions for reinforced concrete floors.
Schöck Stacon® is the first and so far only heavy-duty dowel in expansion joints to have the fire protection classification R 120, which is regulated in the European Technical Assessment (ETA). Tests to optimise the heavy-duty dowel for higher load-bearing capacities in thinner components were carried out using state-of-the-art technology.
The different types of Schöck Bole® punching shear reinforcement enable efficient installation adapted to different boundary conditions: for installation before, during and after laying the reinforcement as well as for installation in the precast plant.
