Schöck Tronsole® type Z

Schöck Tronsole® type Z enables acoustically insulated connections between landings and staircase walls (brick or concrete). Acoustic separation for optimum reduction of impact sound. The excellent impact sound insulation eliminates the need for floating screed on intermediate landings. So structures can be slimmer, and construction workflows faster.

Benefits
  • Schöck Elodur® elastomer support
Ensures an impact sound level delta of ∆Lw* ≥ 27 dB to ∆Lw* ≥ 33 dB on all products, tested to DIN 7396.
  • Suitable for emergency exits
Confirmed in the fire safety certificate
  • Type-approved supporting element
With spacers for safe and simple installation.
  • Enhanced flexibility
Additional types available for uplifting forces and horizontal forces
  • Uninterrupted joint pattern
Once installed, Tronsole® type Z disappears from sight under any landings that are 180 mm or higher
  • Surrounding connection frame
For connection to Tronsole® type L-250 joint panel without acoustic bridges
  • Fire resistance class R90
Complies with the requirements for fire resistance class R90 (subject to use of Z Part T supporting element)

Straight staircase, insulated stairs and landing
Acoustic insulation of stairs to landing using Schöck Tronsole® type T, of landing to wall using Tronsole® type Z. Tronsole® type L insulates stairs to wall. This produces the blue line around the acoustically insulated staircase – a seal of quality for superior impact sound insulation.

For the first time, DIN 7396 describes clear test conditions for measuring the acoustic properties of impact soundproofing elements. Tests are performed on common staircase geometries and under the loads usually occurring in buildings. The characteristic values specified in DIN 7396 can be used for soundproofing certification according to DIN 4109. All Schöck Tronsole® types have been tested using this procedure.

Schöck Elodur®

Schöck Elodur® is an elastomer support that was developed specifically for impact sound insulation. It is the key component in Schöck Tronsole®. Unlike conventional impact sound insulation supports, Schöck Tronsole® achieves an improvement of about 10 dB in impact sound insulation performance by using the elastomer support, Schöck Elodur®. This is approximately equivalent to about half the perceived loudness level.
