Schöck Sconnex® type P

Sconnex® type P is a product solution for reducing the heat flow of square reinforced concrete columns. It consists of a thermal insulation element and a reinforcement element, both of which are required to withstand the bearing load. The thermal insulation element has a support structure made of lightweight concrete, whose special properties significantly reduce the heat flow, so that flanking insulation can be dispensed with on the column.

Approval and certification

A reliable proof of usability for the individual application of Schöck Sconnex® Type P on the column head of reinforced concrete columns is given by the general construction authority DiBt approval Z-15.7-351.

This includes square reinforced concrete columns measuring 250 x 250 mm, 300 x 300 mm, 350 x 350 mm and 400 x 400 mm. In addition, rectangular reinforced concrete columns with column widths of 250, 300, 350 and 400 mm with a ratio of column depth to column width of up to 2:1.

Sconnex® Type P is the only column connection certified by the Passive House Institute, which underlines the increased building physics quality.
