Returnable instead of disposable When purchasing important supply materials, Schöck relies on reusable instead of disposable packagings. These are increasingly being used in a constant exchange between the plants and suppliers at the different locations. The aim is to save high-quality packaging material and to keep the ecological footprint small through multiple use. Reduction in transport packaging Transport packaging is used to ensure that Schöck products reach their destination on the construction site or at the customer's premises safely and undamaged. Schöck guarantees its customers that packaging will be taken back once it has served its purpose. For this, the company works together with an environmental service provider that collects the material from the construction site and sends it for high-quality recycling. Of course, it is even better to prevent waste or at least reduce it to a minimum. In order to achieve this goal, Schöck is constantly optimising its existing packaging methods. The aim is to completely dispense with plastic film by using sturdy, wooden constructions that can withstand the rigours of transportation. Great progress has been made in this area in recent years.
