Schöck Tronsole® type P

The Schöck Tronsole® type P enables the sound-insulated connection of the stair landing to the staircase wall. The design of the precast landing without concrete corbels optimizes the  construction process and is highly cost efficient. Thanks to excellent impact sound insulation, a floating screed on the landing is no longer necessary. Filigree exposed concrete landings and other architectural features are easy to realize.

Acoustic insulation between stairs and landing using Schöck Tronsole® type F, and to floor slab using Tronsole® type B. Acoustic insulation between landing and wall using Tronsole® type P. Elastomer bearing

Elodur® is the specially developed elastomer support for reducing impact sound and the essential component of the Schöck Tronsole® for sound insulation in stairs. In the Tronsole® type P, the Elodur® in the form of a dimpled bearing is used for the point connection. Depending on the required load transfer, the wall element can absorb horizontal forces in addition to positive and negative shear forces. For this purpose, the wall element is fitted with the Elodur® elastomer suport accordingly. Compared to conventional stair supports, the Schöck Tronsole® achieves an approximately 10 dB higher sound insulation for stairs through the use of Elodur®. This corresponds to approximately halving the subjectively perceived loudness.
