New Management Board at Schöck 
Mike Bucher becomes new chairman of the management board of Schöck AG

Baden-Baden, March 2020 – As of 16 April 2020, Mike Bucher will assume the position of Chairman of the Management Board of Schöck AG and at the same time CEO of Schöck Bauteile GmbH.

Mike Bucher (41) has been CEO of Wienerberger Österreich GmbH since 2018. He previously held various management positions in the construction industry, among others at Prefa and Geze. He has roughly 20 years of international experience as a manager for construction suppliers with a focus on innovation, business development und digitization. 

As chairman, Bucher assumes overall responsibility for the international Schöck Group, together with the two previous board members, Dr. Harald Braasch (technology), and Thomas Stürzl (commerce). As CEO, Mike Bucher will focus on the strategic direction of the entire group, national and international sales and marketing for Schöck.

The focus remains on offering our customers and partners added value along the entire value chain”, emphasizes Mike Bucher.

Alfons Hörmann took up his position as chairman of the management board of Schöck AG in 2017. Previously, he had been a member of the supervisory board of Schöck since 1999 and had been chairman since 2003. During his many years of service for the family company, he successfully developed the legacy of the company founder Eberhard Schöck with great personal commitment. In the past financial year 2019, the Schöck Group achieved sales of 202 million euros and exceeded the 1,000-employee mark.
