Schöck was named "Architect's Darling" in Gold in the category of "Balconies and terraces". This award is presented every year by construction network specialists Heinze. Winners of the coveted award were determined through a nationwide survey of architects in 2015 – chosen by the key decision makers in construction. A total of around 1,800 architects and planners were interviewed on more than 200 manufacturers and brands in the construction industry.
In 2013, Schöck ranked second for the Ludwig Erhard Prize in the category of "SMEs" in recognition of its overall business excellence approach tailored to the model developed by the "European Foundation for Quality Management" (EFQM). Patron of this German prize for business excellence is the Federal Minister of Economics and Technology. Schöck had already earned the recognition of the competition's jury back in 2009 and 2011. In 2009, the quality of Schöck as a company was "Recognised for Excellence", while the next award in 2011 recognised our overall approach to business excellence.
When the prizes were being given for "Produktinnovation Praxis Altbau", Schöck scooped an award for its system solution for energy-efficient balcony connections in old buildings. The award was won for the innovative solution for retrofitting balconies. The competition was organised by Bundesarbeitskreis Altbauerneuerung e.V. (BAKA), Messe München GmbH and DOCUgroup with Federal Minister Tiefensee acting as patron. The awards were presented at Bau 2009.
Schöck ranks among the 100 most innovative companies in Germany's SME landscape. As one of the award winners in the "Top 100" innovation competition, Schöck was praised for its exemplary innovation management, its inspiring and innovation-friendly top management, and its fruitful innovation climate. The jury's opinion of the "Top 100" companies: "They adopt a more consistent and professional approach to achieving their innovation targets compared to the average SME. That makes them more successful. They grasp innovation as a fundamental corporate goal that transcends all areas of the company."
TOP JOB is a seal of quality, certifying that the HR efforts of Schöck are outstanding in the German SME landscape. Each year, the University of St. Gallen uses benchmarking to determine the 100 best employers, who are then awarded the coveted TOP JOB seal of quality, just like Schöck.
The sustainability of a building can be measured by calculating the environmental performance of each element. Environmental Product Declarations – EPD for short – provide the data on which the ecological building assessments are based. The EPD contains details about the environmental performance of the construction product – from production through to disposal. For Schöck Isokorb® XT/T type K an EPD environmental product declaration is available for architects and engineers. It was issued by Institut Bauen und Umwelt e. V. (IBU).
