Tour Das Haus. Building Schöck Isokorb®.

Showcasing Sustainable Construction and Operational Energy Savings

The Das Haus presents Schöck Isokorb® and other German innovations that have achieved sustainable construction and operational energy savings. The pavilion is a hands-on experience of architecture and technology, where visitors can see the methods used, materials installed and techniques of construction.

The Das Haus is based on concepts of first–place entries in the Solar Decathlon, an international solar house competition presented by the US Department of Energy. The Solar Decathlon consisted of 20 collegiate teams who design, build, and operate solar–powered houses that are cost–effective, energy–efficient, and attractive. From these concepts, innovative renewables and energy efficiency is built.

Schöck Isokorb® Inspires Das Haus Attendees

Schöck Isokorb® continues to be an inspiring highlight of the Das Haus tour, as attendees realize the logic and ease of incorporating a thermally efficient structural connection in steel beam canopies and concrete balcony construction.
