Mike Bucher named chairman of Schöck AG management board
BADEN-BADEN, GERMANY – Mike Bucher assumed the position of CEO of Schöck AG and Chairman of the Management Board of Schöck Bauteile GmbH effective 16 April 2020.
Mr. Bucher brings to Schöck 20 years of international experience as a manager for construction suppliers, with a focus on innovation, business development and digitization. He most recently served as CEO of Wienerberger Österreich GmbH, a major producer of brick masonry and ceramic roof systems, based in Austria. Earlier, he held management positions at Prefa (aluminum roofing and façade elements) and Geze (commercial doors, windows, and building access systems).
As chairman, he assumes responsibility for the international Schöck Group, together with his former management board colleagues, Dr. Harald Braasch (technology) and Thomas Stürzl (commerce). As CEO, Mr. Bucher will focus on strategic direction of the entire group, including national and international sales and marketing.

Mr. Bucher succeeds Alfons Hörmann who assumed the position as Chairman of the Management Board of Schöck AG in 2017. Mr. Hörmann was a member of Schöck’s Supervisory Board since 1999, and had been Chairman since 2003. Throughout his tenure, he reinforced the legacy of company founder Eberhard Schöck with great personal commitment.
